Rigid Inflatable Boat...

I have been to Sandhamn during the autumn, summer as well but the autumn was special.
It was really really nice, very calm compared to the summer, very peaceful actually.

Stayed at a Nice Hotel, nice weather and the boat we went on for a 1,5 hour ride.....in 47.8 knots.....was very very nice too..!!!!
It's a "RIB" and it handles rough sea like nothing, although the sea was calm the feeling of going fast on water is nice. After a nice trip we spotted a ferry on our way back to the harbor, our driver and navigator spotted it as well, spoke for a bit and then turned the steering wheel... YES I thought.
Your hear that these boats is more fun when windy our going in lots of waves although we had fun too in calm water actually, this could be the thing perhaps... getting closer to boat I got a feeling of being in a movie when they chase a boat and boarders it... Anyway we're getting close now heading for the waves after the boat and..Swong ! up in the air.. we all scream of joy. They're turning the boat and heads for the waves again. This time we're going BIG !! up in the sky and there was time to look down on the surface and think of the BANG it will be when we land..but smoothly the boat goes down and on the gas again......screaming screaming of exitement, waving to the ferry !! What a feeling....... the nose of the RIB was 5m up in the air and no attachements to the water (not even engines)...
Extremely fun !!

We were 11 persons, 1 driver and 1 navigator, including 500 litres of gasoline we weighed 5 Tonnes !
The boats is 32 feet (10meters) long and has a that special V-bottom.. so it is extremely stable.
2 engines total 500 hp. It consumes 150 litres of gas/ hour driving full speed...

I've been wanting to go on a RIB for 5 years now and finally I did it..

The pictures are taken at the same time, you can see what it looks like from the back and front. At the time were in-between 2 islands at 44 knots.

As you can tell I'm quite exited..
